Wok 68 - Saint-Louis

Full selection of seafood and huge location and reasonable price. not really authentic Chinese cuisine I would say, but compare them with other fake Chinese restaurants, it is above average safe.

While I stay in basel, I decided to cross the border and try out the Asian restaurant I have heard so much from a friend and much to my surprise was worth it! friendly staff was surpassed by an even more fantastic selection of foods. true, the desserts are not really. the best, but then again, it is Asian cuisine, so I went there mostly for seafood, although I saw so many other types of raw meat that they would cook before them. I was really happy with the visit and plan to return.

We went there on a Saturday (price is 18,90€ in the evening and wkd but cheaper in the week). the personal was super friendly and attentive, but it did not make for the bad quality of all ingredients. Yes, it's a Chinese buffet and she can't expect much of anything they eat buffet. but I have visited much better Chinese buffet restaurant than this. that is, they have wok station, sushi, classic European take Chinese dishes, entrées and even some cheese to serve everyone. the best was probably the dessert station as most of the dinge were either ice or frozen. the personal is beautiful that they even offer free will for anyone who tries to create a clientele. but we're not going back.

Very clean environment. Food is so fresh. A variety of sea foods, though not enough rice. But it was so enjoyable. A lot of deserts too. They even have macaroons. Quite lush. If you visit Basel, it's a few yards from the River Rhine and...not far from the border. I literally walked into St Louis to find Wok 68. Hoping to be back again.

We went for dinner on a Friday. The place is new, the staff is sympathetic but the food is not good. I 've tried a different variety: sushis, fried food, rice, chinese dishes... But unfortunately it 's just not good. The sushi rice is sticky, in general...taste like industrialized thing, too much oil, does not taste fresh. I 've been in good restaurants with the buffet all you can eat , but definitely not this one.
