The Local West End - Saint Louis Park

The food and atmosphere were excellent! The flavors were unique, and the portion sizes were generous. I ordered the soup of the day, which was a tomato soup. It was decent, but it was incredibly thick—more like a paste. It paired reasonably well with the pot roast sandwich. However, the sandwich itself was quite sweet, likely due to the coleslaw on it, which contributed to its unusual taste. I probably won’t order that combination again when we return.

I dined at the local restaurant last night based on multiple recommendations. The atmosphere is fantastic, reminiscent of an opera house since they share the same building. I really enjoyed my drinks, and the fish and chips were quite delicious! The soft pretzel appetizer served with spicy mustard was also excellent. Our server was polite, attentive, and professional. I would definitely recommend it if you're in the area!

Prices felt a bit high, but that might just be the trend everywhere post-COVID. I visited for lunch on a Saturday, and it wasn't overly crowded, making it a nice spot to enjoy drinks with friends. They have several spacious cabins with small glass doors on the window side of the building, which are charming and perfect for a private date. I'm not sure if the doors can be closed, but they create a cozy and private atmosphere. Parking is convenient and free, with a covered ramp available.

Very much fun to this pub. We're here twice now. The food was great with good portions and great taste! Good appetizers. Good desserts. Great horned beef! Good fish. Good mixed drinks. Friendly and attentive staff. We will return.

I love this place, the atmosphere, the service the location. All amazing! Can't wait to come back again, and again!
