Contribuiți la feedbackI was a little hesitant to go to the envy king because I had heard that it was expensive, they did not publish a menu, and the menu changes regularly, so although I had seen some of the dishes, I knew they were not there long and I was not sure if they were vegan. When I finally left, I had a great time. the cocktails are really delicious (although expensive.) if they want small bites, they have several vegan options. I cleave three appetizers, hummus, brewed aubergine divers and cracked olives. some elements that would be like vegan are not (i.e. roasted flower cabbage), so make sure that they tell their server and have confirmed that articles are vegan and see whether modifications can be made (no mods for what I ordered).) the only thing that you could consider as entree is the falafel that I was told is vegan without the one that it is served with. the server were very helpful in consulting what was vegan. the apps were 3 for 25, plus $3 for pita (the pita is really good, but annoying that the expensive dives do not come with him.) so. I would go under the right circumstances back to benevolent king, i.e. I'm okay if I have a pricey night out, I don't want to share a meal, but some small tellers, or if in the opposite and just want a great cocktail. t is a good date night spot. updated by previous review on 2019-02-10
That is my absolute favorite new restaurant in maplewood. great service and everything I ordered (food and drinks) was amazing. so much taste, tastefully made, beautiful portions (they have small teller and large.) menu turns regularly so that they can always experience something new. they also have delicious mocktails
I don't know where to begin. Food choices were bad, and the food itself was even worse. Cool little spot though.
Had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant with incredibly unique dishes that were all delicious. Make sure not to skip out on the desserts either! Chef Elliot deserves all the praise for his creations, and Bailey provided excellent service. I highly suggest trying the lamb meatballs with couscous (definitely don't skip the couscous!), as well as the cigars and falafel. Whether you're dining in for dinner, this place comes highly recommended.
The food at Benevolent King is excellent. They are portioned to be small plates, but I felt that they were pretty generous. We loved everything except for the poached apples they were fine, just not to our taste. We tried a couple of the wines by the glass and appreciated the dry and not to sweet selection. Our server was also very hospitable and timed her checks on us, very well, always coming as well finished a plate and ready with what was next. It was a great place to eat on a cool, fall evening.
