Canyon Cafe - Saint Louis

This is a fantastic Tex-Mex restaurant located in the mall. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the prices were quite reasonable. My fish was cooked to perfection, and the chips and salsa served as an appetizer were delightful. I would definitely return whenever I have the opportunity.

Don't skip the chips! I can't imagine anyone coming to the 2nd ?limit 2? margarita! Food is consistently good. They have a little outdoor seating, but it's always full when we go. You're not as full as they were safe and I know the staff is hard? But all of us?

It wasn't there in a while. I thought the food was wonderful. Especially the fresh basket of chips loved. The entries were plentiful and very tasty. Server was great and brought us a small leak for Dessert.

Wasn't at Canyon Cafe for a few years. It is on the other side of the city and not near one of my normal goals. I recently had the opportunity to revise one of my favorite restaurants. Physically, not much has changed. A dining area outside, a bar and seating. The restaurant is open to the Frontenac Plaza shopping centre. Restaurant design is rustic. Service was fast and good throughout. Attention, without being overlaid. The menu is relatively short. I started with a cup of her chowder. It is full of taste, delicious, should have ordered a bowl. For the streets tacos, my dining room partner for the Fajitas. My old standby of the buffalo meat is on the special rotation of the cook and was not available this night. With the short menu that focuses on some important ingredients, the food was presented quite quickly, had hardly finished the Chowder when it arrived. The street tacos were excellent, full of taste. The Fajitas of my partner smell wonderful to be honest, she has eaten much more than she normally. At a moment of weakness the Sopapillas ordered. Puff pieces covered with honey and cinnamon, served with two pots of ice. My only negative is the noise level in the restaurant is quite high, some additional acoustic treatment would be a certain improvement.

It could have been a better experience. I've visited this restaurant several times, and it tends to be inconsistent. On my most recent visit, I ordered carry-out, and they forgot all the toppings that were supposed to come with the fajitas—no cheese, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, or margarita slaw. I called to inform them, and they said the manager would get back to me, but I never received a call or any follow-up. Perhaps you'll have better luck, but there are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in town that provide a better experience.
