Contribuiți la feedbackIt had been years since I last visited Montanas, but before deciding to go tonight, I looked up some reviews. I was feeling adventurous and ready to step out of my usual dining routine to try something different.
We arrived just before closing time, but they graciously welcomed us in and prepared delicious meals for us. Our server, Mercedes, provided excellent service. Both of our steaks were cooked perfectly and the loaded baked potatoes were incredibly tasty.
I really enjoy the food at the Saint John location, but I have noticed that their prices do not match what is listed online or in their printed menu. For example, the Brisket sandwich is advertised as $17.99, but I was charged $19.99 on my receipt. The menu insert is new, as the Brisket sandwich just returned 2 weeks ago. Today, I also ordered chicken tacos and one was listed as $14.99 while the other was $16.99, with the only difference being one came with a Caesar salad, which was never an additional charge before.
My partner and I went for lunch in Montana. My partner ordered a pasta dish and I rarely ordered the striploin steak medium. When my order came out, it was not only moderately rare, but it was the wrong steak. It was actually also medium. I brought this to my server's attention and she went to the kitchen to get the right steak cooked. That was good. I waited for my steak to arrive, and when I did, I cut it in to take a bite out of it and realized that this was boiled to medium. I asked to talk to the manager and showed her the steak, which had also agreed that it was not a medium-sized, rare steak and would go to the kitchen and work with who and the steak would take off our bill. She never came back and the waiting staff took care of the rest of the transaction. In my experience, the manager ends the situation in such a case. So I paid $30 for French fries and Koleslaw, I felt completely out of the administration as she never came back and still paid $50 for the meal. The server was fine because we had no problems with her. But if you want steak, don't go to Montana.
