Contribuiți la feedbackI really enjoy this restaurant. We stopped on our way to Mont Tremblant and liked it so much that we decided to stop again before leaving the country.
For us this was the first time and last time that we would stop here for dinner. First of all we had to wait, which isn’t a problem, but when we were called I thought it was strange that others had not come out previously, and then noticed that there were a number of empty tables ...... The waitress came to take our beverage orders; but returned after a long period of time – thought she had forgot about us. The main orders were finally taken, and thank heavens she had come back with a small bowl of coleslaw for each of us, since we were hungry; once again waited, thinking we were forgotten. The main meals meat was tasty but on the cold side, don’t know how long it was sitting waiting to be served to us or if it was because it was a little cool in the restaurant. The other issue that I did not personally care for was, (now she did ask first but she could have even waited until we were gone) if she could clean the glass window that looked into the kids room .... Windex cleaner really didn’t add flavour to a meal. I know there are other St. Hubert Restaurant’s, so if back in St Jean – Sur- Richelieu would maybe try another location, but definitely not back to this one. Beverages are very pricey along with a number of their meal selections.
We were a party of four adults. When my brother-in-law suggested going to a Saint-Hubert for lunch, I thought I would be in for a boring, predictable meal. Not true! This is a newly (December, 2016 renovated restaurant, not far from the highway, going south towards the US border with Vermont. The place is tastefully decorated, and the staff friendly and efficient. (Merci, Helene! Upon entering, you are greeted by a wall displaying a variety of wine bottles. Everything is bright and cheerful. We each ordered a different dish, with my wife going for the Portuguese Piri Piri Chicken, which she adored for its crunchy skin. I had a wrap. The cole slaw is a traditional side dish, and went well with everything. Good desserts, also. I especially liked the whole apple baked in puff pastry.
Best chicken ever. Get the combo meal.....choice of creamy or light vinegar coleslaw, choice of soup....chicken and rice chicken noodle or cream of chicken, entree half of rotisserie chicken, and dessert. Oh my the desserts!
We stopped there for lunch this past weekend as we were leaving Montreal to comeback to the States and wanted this to be our last stop for food. Our server Ashley went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing dinning experience. The chicken was phenomenal as well as the fries and the all you can eat coleslaw. This has to be the best chicken i have ever eaten anywhere in the World. I wish there was a location where we live in Orlando. This place is simply ridiculously AWESOME!!!!
