Contribuiți la feedbackWe went to this buffet on an early Wednesday evening...we were seated immediately by friendly staff. All the hot buffet items were suitably hot and tasty. There were quite a few shrinp items, including large ones : with tax tip the bill was $50 which I thought was fair. we will be back again.
Our tour tour 4 fun) had dinner at one of the franchises of fu lam buffet in Montreal. The experience was horrible. Their food did not agree with my stomach bec. the food is not fresh and mediocre. The customer service sucks . The waiters and chef/cook at the noodle bar are unfreindly and unhelpful . My noodle is not properly cooked. l 'm wondering why our tour director told us that this the best Chinese restaurant in quebec . I considered the stiff price of $28 was overpriced for the food and services being offered. For myself, the tour operator, tour4fun, should take a looked of the restaurants that they recommend in their tour because it 's also affects their reputation. Because of this incident, I will not recommend the tour4fun to anybody.
My family and I (a group of 9 people) were attending my sons graduation in April 2016. We asked a local if there was a good Chinese buffet near by and they referred us to Buffet Fu Lam. Everyone was excited to go because we all love a good buffet. When we arrived around 7:00 pm the place was almost empty so we got a seat very quickly. Our waiter arrived at the table promptly and inquired about drinks, then stated if there is something you want and don't see just ask and I will try to get it made for you. Everyone got up to eat but when we arrived at the serving tables there was a very poor selection and they were practically empty. What was inside looked old and lifeless. The salad bar was tiny and had minimal items as choices. The sushi and maki rolls (haha...3 kinds and 4 of each) were tasteless and very loosely rolled and when we asked if more could be made, they did the same type and only 4 of each, plus the wasabi was dry and crumbly. The dessert table was not any better, with ice cream, cake and jello as the only items to choose from. We asked if more fresh food could be put out and some other desserts but after about 20 minutes and no movement other than the staff milling around cleaning up, we decided to just make the most of our visit and finish up. When we were ready to pay the bill I attempted to get the attention of our waiter, looking all over for him or anyone else who could help but no one was around. After walking around the restaurant I found all the waiters sitting at a table behind a pole eating their meal and had to interrupt them to get my check. Needless to say everyone was very unhappy with the experience at this establishment and I would definitely not recommend anyone eat there. I hope the restaurant improves on their food and customer service before they lose more business....very disappointed
Fu Lam is a small chain of Chinese restaurants in and around Montreal. I 've been to others, notably in Greenfield Park, and unfortunately the buffet in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu does not live up to the chain 's standards. When they first opened in St Jean they didnt even have delivery for the first month or so. So I picked up our meal and the food was very mediocre. For example, the General Tao was dry as a bone with barely any sauce. That was two years ago. This time I decided to try the buffet. It 's basically the only Chinese buffet in the region so you would hope for something decent. All-in-all, the food is ok but a few of the dishes left somewhat to be desired. The General Tao was AGAIN bone dry and what 'sauce ' there was was thick and sticky. The hot and sour sauce was also kind of bland compared to what I 'm used to. If you ABSOLUTELY want to eat at a Chinese buffet in the St-Jean area and your expectations are not high then you may be satisfied. Otherwise, hop in your car and go to the one on Tashereau blvd in Greenfield Park about 20 mins away for a far better experience.
Buffet du midi; The food was really good. My little girl enjoyed the sushi that was delicious. The service was excellent!
