L'Artha - Saint-Jean-de-Luz

While walking along the beach front on an autumn evening we found this restaurant which has views over the sea .Even though we didn’t have a reservation we were quickly offered a choice of tables . The friendly waitress happily translated the menu and although...it is a speciality fish restaurant there were meat choices aswell. The restaurant quickly filled up but our dishes were served quick and were all very tasty . We both choose from the 20 Euro menu . Would recommend

Had spotted this on our wanderings around SJL and thought that it would be good for dinner as it was a lovely evening and the view from the restaurant looked great...and they are! Pleasant service and lovely table in the window watching the sun setting...across the bay and people promenading up and down. Moules Mariniere were very nice. Fresh and light broth. The tuna in tomatoes and onions was ok as was the pork with frites. Enjoyed the creme brûlée too. A glass of sangria and some water and we were good to go. So, food ok, views amazing, service good. Despite it being a quiet Monday evening, the place was busy with lots of locals, so it can't be that bad.

We had just flown into San Sebastian from Madrid after an overnight flight from the US. We thought Saint Jean de Luz looked like a nice town near the airport to grab lunch. Most of the restaurants were closed, but L'Artha was open and sat us by a...window overlooking the sea. Our server was friendly and the food was what we needed to keep going none of us were unhappy with our meals. Nothing fancy, but certainly not bad. The price was OK. Not nearly as bad as some of the reviews state although we were not there expecting a high end dinner.

LIEU A FUIR.....! Ce n'est pas un restaurant...Accueil correct. Tables collées les unes aux autres (pas ou peu de place . Une heure d'attente avant d'avoir notre entrée (durée totale du repas 2 heures 10 sans une corbeille de pain (que nous avons du réclamé . Et nous n'étions pas les seuls. Des moules cuites et recuites sur 20 coquilles 3 étaient remplies. Le plat principal (chipirons du décongelé c'est certain baignait dans une purée de légumes a base de tomates mais (indéfinissable . Le plus mauvais endroit ou j'ai pu me rendre contre la modique somme de 104€ un piège à touriste. Je ne peux pas mettre moins de 1 étoile mais il est clair que je ne ferais aucune publicité positive sur ce lieu. Maux de ventre pour clôturer le tout. Passez votre chemin.........

Bonjour 1 lieu très sympa et jolie mes cela s'arrête la..... La seul chose que je regrette c'est de ne pas être aller voir les avis avant (tête en mode off Je viens confirmer que la cuisine de ce lieux et deplorable une attente infernal (55 minute pour la prise de commande ,les spritz arrive et la 3 minute après la soupe de poisson tout juste envie de peter 1 câble mes une fois de plus j'étais en off Je vous conseil de ne pas tenter il faut y envoyer cauchemar en cuisine..... (je suis sérieux Enfin voilà je poste jamais avis car je ne suis personne pour juger mes la vraiment c'est dégueulasses et inadmissible Bonne experience pour les curieux
