Barbera Pasta E Vino - Saint James

I hesitated to write this review because I don't want to risk not being able to get a reservation at this incredible little restaurant in the future! However, after experiencing the warmth of the owners, I felt compelled to share my thoughts. We started with two appetizers: Burrata and Gnocchi, both of which were outstanding. As an Italian, I typically dislike restaurant gnocchi, but this one was absolutely delicious. For our main course, we had the Fusilli with eggplants and a baked lamb shank accompanied by fresh greens. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. For dessert, we indulged in two treats: Ricotta cheesecake and Barbara's chocolate mousse cake. Both desserts were just as delightful as the main courses! The owners are a lovely couple; the husband is the chef, and Barbara, the wife, is prompt, funny, and charming. She even encouraged us to dip our bread into the gnocchi sauce before taking the dish away. If you’re looking for an amazing authentic Italian meal, this is the place to go. Be prepared to spend a few hours there, as the atmosphere is very relaxed, and there’s no rush at all. In fact, we stayed at our table all night and enjoyed every moment!
