Le Schuss - Saint-Gervais-les-Bains

Beautiful food (amazing salads) served by the friendly family who own this mountain restaurant. Very different in the summer from the winter and equally worth visiting. It really is a gem and reasonably priced for such excellent quality. Great place to take children too.

Blowing a blizzard the day we snow shoed over from Bettax. Super warm welcome from madame. Copious and tasty plat de jour pork loin in mustard sauce inspired us for our return hike. Highly recommended.

What a find! In the midst of biking and hiking trails up a winding road from St Nicolas, this spacious restaurant serves a delicious lunch facing a stunning mountain view.

We've been visiting St Gervais for years and always take the time to ski over to Le Schuss for lunch at least once during our stay. The owner is so welcoming and friendly (unlike some of the other piste bars and restaurants), the specials and food in general are always wonderful and there's a great selection of local beer too. On a sunny day take advantage of the deck chairs to chill out or chat.
