Restaurant de la Gare

Sa outside on the terrace at the end of September, great value lunch time set meal. Carafes of local wine fantastic.

Pleasant unpretentious restaurant with large basic eating area overlooking the street. Set evening meals begin at about 20 euros. Lots of parking beside the restaurant but a few steps to climb to get inside. We particularly enjoyed the cooked goats cheese salad.

We were staying in a gite about 100yards from this restaurant and enjoyed an excellent 4 course Sunday lunch here. Unfortunately this was on the last day before it closed for refurbishment, as we would certainly have eaten here again. Popular with locals, quiet at...this time of year, good service if you stick to the French convention Sunday lunch starts 1200 to 1215 . Varied menus at two price levels so something for every budget. By the way, I think the previous review 'Old school ' actually refers to La Jouvence restaurant on the main street in St Gengoux.

This is an old school French working man's restaurant. A 4 course meal, wine and coffee included set menu for 12.5 euro. The first course is a serve yourself buffet with cold fish, pate, salad etc. The second course is the menu of the day,...no choice, 3rd a cheese plate to pick from, then dessert and coffee. The wine is a large bottle of, red, white or rose, drink what you want. It is a hundred yards from the voie verte bike trail. Service with a smile, good food, no choice but great value. No tax, no tip, wine included.

Habitant les environs depuis peu nous avons décidés avec ma compagne et notre petite de tester le restaurant de la Gare en Terrasse. Vraiment pas déçu, très bon accueil, terrasse sympathique. Plusieurs Menus intéressants nous avons opté pour celui à 18€ Rapport/Qualité prix imbattable, Jambon persillé de qualité fait maison à notre avis et Bœuf Bourguignon Excellent, pour le dessert nous avons optez pour une tarte et un tiramisu tout fait maison et vraiment très bon. Bref nous allons y retourner à présent assez souvent car nous avons bien mangé bien discuté avec la serveuse c'était très convivial et très copieux pour un prix adapté.
