Contribuiți la feedbackOk, start from the beginning... Our family (with 4 children) arrived at 7pm sharp for dinner. The restaurant was empty. They brought us to a table in the very back of the restaurant, next to a cabinet with forks etc. We asked to switch tables because it was depressing and lonely back there. Now, as far as I know, no one EVER said hello/bonjour or anything remotely friendly. The first thing they tell you when you sit down is that you will be charged for wasting/'gaspillage' at the buffet. It is also posted throughout the restaurant. Offering a buffet is really asking people to utilize it "en tant que bon père de famille." To be reasonable. Of course there are people who will abuse it, but this is not a reason to treat every patron like a criminal. They have employees walking around the restaurant, checking on what you take, what you eat. Like hawks. Standing beside your table. Talking about you. You start to feel like a thief after awhile. You feel tense. Watched. Uncomfortable. That may be their way to run their business. Fine, if you don't want people to enjoy themselves or come back ever. However, when we arrived, the Boss told us how much we would be charged: one small child, one child & 4 adults. But SURPRISE: when the check arrives, you are charged for 5 adults & one regular child. I bet this "switcheroo" works on plenty of families who do not check the bill. We were really angered by this. Well, the service absolutely ruined our experience, which is too bad because the food was quite tasty. There were people *trying* to get take-out at the buffet with teeny-tiny little boxes and they were being followed around by the staff. Watched.Total bummer. And no, this restaurant is most definitely NOT family-friendly. Or people-friendly, for that matter.
I was mildly surprised with this buffet restaurant. The food was all of decent quality and was massively improved by the fresh cooking station where you can load up your plate with raw ingredients and hand them to the chef to cook fresh for you.We went when it opened early evening and were the first people there, as a result all the food were hot and fresh, so i don't know how it holds up later.I wasnt too impressed with the dessert selection, standard buffet style like you get in the UK. But would go back if i were in the area.
Food was fresh and well cooked. The trepan yaks grill had lots of great choices. Word to the wise though make sure you eat what you take or there is an extra fee. Parking is painful so you may have to walk a bit but this restaurant is worth it.
Ate here twice whilst staying nearby. The Buffet has a wide choice well presented with a cook to order option that is excellent. The evening meal is around 18 euros for a real buffet feast. Huge choice! Friendly staff, english spoken. A good relaxing option after visiting the palace
Went there for dinner with my wife. The food is food is really average and the service is horrible. I was told by the owner that I could not take more than 5 shrimps at a time because " shrimps are an expansive product". It is Kind of surprising for a buffet restaurant to limit the amount of food the customers are allowed to eat. Maybe the owners are not familiar with the western culture and the freedom that comes with it. At the end of the dinner the owner tried to charge me an extra 12 euros for "rice that you did not finish". He actually was attempting to get his money back from the shrimps that i ate....What a shame. We ended up arguing for 20 minutes in front of the restaurant customers....embarrassing. i refused to pay for the bogus charge and the owner followed me outside onto the street asking for his 12 euros....what a shame....My wife got upset and basically this restaurant ruined my evening...Stay away from this place as you can find similar food anywhere with plaisant customer service.
