China House Buffet - Saint Charles

Was not already a one-way house, but knew that it was the place to go to a late lunch today! although it wasn't during a baking time, all the dishes were fresh! if they weren't here yet, please try it. they will not regret their decision

I asked for hot tea and water, but I didn’t receive the tea until after I had finished my first plate. When I went up to the buffet again, I filled my plate with a few new items that had just been added. I finally managed to get about a quarter pot of hot tea and a glass of water. At that point, I had six pieces of cantaloupe, a small bowl of egg drop soup, two crab rangoons, and a small portion of lo mein. I was full, and I enjoyed what I had. However, I had a hard time finding someone to ask for the bill. I waited for a while before a young man approached me, but he had to check with someone else about my ticket. When another staff member, Prawan, came over, she spoke to me in Chinese, which was unexpected. The young man eventually returned promptly, but with a playful attitude. I ended up handing over a $20 bill, thinking the buffet was $10.59 and the tea was $3.29. I received $6 and some change back, so including tax, I was pleased with the total. I ended up leaving a $3 tip at the table. Despite the service issues, I have to note that the food was delicious! One thing I wished for was a better selection of utensils; I only received one fork. It would be helpful if they provided at least a knife and spoon, especially since there were no spoons available for the soups at the buffet. It was quite challenging to eat egg drop soup with just a fork. Additionally, while our waters were refilled regularly, my actual drink wasn’t, despite being advertised as free refills. It would also be nice if they offered a bit more variety on the buffet. Overall, the food was great, but there are definitely areas to improve in service and dining experience!

This restaurant offers a wonderful all-you-can-eat experience featuring Chinese food, sushi, fruits, salads, and ice cream. They also have a complete menu for made-to-order fresh dishes. You can either dine in or opt for takeout and enjoy their delicious meals at home!

We selected the all you can eat buffet and we should have selected the cook to order menu items. The buffet food was not hot except the fried rice. The steam table food was lukewarm and dry. Servers not friendly no smiles.
