Contribuiți la feedbackFor a follow up dining destination after sunset drinks elsewhere, St. Augustine's Gypsy Cab Co. tops the short list for mid priced, one of a kind culinary pleasure. This transformed gas station, with funky green walled decor including a traffic light within, specializes in Urban Cuisine. That translates into a mix of Italian, German, American, the inevitable Floribbean, and whatever else strikes the chef's fancy. Barbecue ribs are fine, as is the Veal Pesada. But for something extra special, go for the Pork Loin Saltimbocca two over sized medallions beaten flat, seasoned and stuffed with cheese, serviced with smashed potatoes, broccoli, and carrots. If there's a wait (and there likely will be on a Saturday night), step inside to leave your name and collect your beeper, and head across the parking lot to a sister lounge, sort of a Goth place with drinks and appetizers. Next time we'll be doing the Escargot Saute and the Gypsy Chicken.
Friends took us to a local restaurant in St. Augustine The Gypsy Cab Co. From the outside we never thought it was a restaurant, but once inside....wow...what delicious food. I had enough food for the next day’s lunch too. The waitress was very helpful too. I will stop there again the next time I am in St. Augustine!!
