Carrabba's Italian Grill St. Augustine

The restaurant needs to hire more waitstaff. I understand that many places are struggling, but it’s frustrating to wait when half the tables are empty. A manager should be able to handle about six tables, and the hostess should be trained to assist as well—ideally, there should just be one hostess on duty. As for the food, it’s what you expect from Carrabba's: solid and enjoyable, though not gourmet or truly authentic. The service was good once we were seated.

We've always appreciated our time at Carrabba's. Before the pandemic, they had a special off-season menu that featured delicious meals at enticing prices, and we really miss that. Over the five years we've been dining there, we've noticed a slight decline in the quality of the food. Additionally, with the absence of the appealing three-course menu, we haven't been visiting as frequently. However, overall, the food remains quite good, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is pleasant.

We started with the hand-breaded calamari, mozzarella marinara, and four cheese stuffed mushrooms, all served with a side of tasty marinara sauce. For our main course, we had the oven-baked rigatoni pasta mixed with a rich tomato cream sauce, romano, parmesan, and goat cheese, topped with mozzarella. To complete the meal, we also enjoyed a hearty salad and minestrone soup, which were both very filling. We couldn't contain our excitement for dessert and devoured it instantly; the CANNOLI CAKE for two was simply the best! It featured layers of vanilla cake filled with cannoli cream, topped with a mini cannoli, pistachios, and chocolate sauce, all on a chocolate chip crust. So delicious! We ate here with a large party on Tuesday night. No reservations but only waited about 15 minutes. The server was great considering everyone yelling over each other and getting distracted. I ordered the short ribs over mashed potatoes and they were fantastic. The entire table was jealous. This restaurant was super kid friendly as we had a gaggle of little ones with us. Very happy about the impromptu visit.

Fantastic dining experience. We went for my daughters 19th birthday dinner and we're thrilled with the food and service. Our server, Macy did a great job taking or orders and keeping us refilled on drinks. The salmon was delicious- cooked perfectly and the asparagus was properly tender. My wife's steak tasted great. The pasta for the girls was the best they've ever had. We could not be more pleased.
