Contribuiți la feedbackOn a late Saturday night, we decided to pick up some pizza to go. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a medium margherita pizza. The pepperoni was quite good—flavorful with a nice crust and sauce. The margherita looked appealing but was disappointing due to the lack of basil; there were only a few small bits sprinkled on top. Additionally, I'm accustomed to margherita pizza being topped with whole slices of tomatoes rather than chopped pieces. Overall, it was decent, but the scarcity of basil definitely warrants a one-star deduction. In terms of pricing, it felt quite steep; the two pizzas cost over $26.00.
Our waiter was friendly, and we ordered lasagna and gnocchi. The gnocchi was decent, earning a solid 3 out of 5 stars, but the sauce was quite chunky. I don't mind a chunky tomato sauce, but the undercooked garlic and onion in it were a bit overpowering. Let's just say it left my breath a bit... intense. On the bright side, my wife really enjoyed her lasagna, which thrilled me. It had a very traditional flavor. I felt that the sauce could have used a bit more depth and a hint of spice, but overall, it was enjoyable. In summary, I had a pleasant experience and would definitely return. Next time, I might opt for something different since the pizzas I spotted at other tables looked fantastic.
Like many Italian restaurants, the portion sizes were quite generous. I ordered the calamari with marinara, which was cooked to perfection—tender and crispy on the outside. I also highly recommend their fried mozzarella. Instead of the usual cheese sticks, we received two huge, thick triangles of mozzarella that were exceptionally tasty, tender, and filling, complemented by marinara sauce. I even requested ranch dressing on the side. We shared the Fettuccine Alfredo and added chicken for an additional $3. Honestly, I felt the flavor of the dish didn’t quite justify the extra cost. I would have preferred it cooked with a little more butter and Parmesan cheese, and if you enjoy garlic, definitely ask them to add it. The mussels were plentiful and distinctly flavorful, with a noticeable taste of wine. They came in a large bowl, so be sure to ask for a spoon to enjoy the delicious broth or use the bread rolls to soak it up. I appreciated that nothing was overly salted; the dishes were simply prepared. Depending on who is cooking, you might be able to make special requests. Overall, our bill came to around $60 plus tip for four dishes, unlimited garlic rolls, a few beers, and excellent service. If you're in the area or planning to visit, I would definitely recommend this place!
I ordered delivery from this establishment and the service was great. Food got here quickly and everything I ordered was correct. The food isn't bad, but not the best Italian food but I am super picky as I'm originally from Jersey. The fried mozzarella is actually a grilled cheese sandwich fried, that was a fun surprise. The fresh mozzarella is more tomato than mozzarella, but that's my personal preference to want more cheese. Most of the food was also heavy in the garlic, again comes back to more personal preference. Not many Italian restaurants in the area, so I was hoping for a bit more but overall a decent meal.
Had the chicken parmigiana and spaghetti. The food was very good, and it had a nice authentic flavor. It had simple flavors without all the extra stuff like you get at the chains, and I really appreciated that! It was simply good. The only draw back is the interior could use some updating. The floors had paint coming up where all the chairs scraped. It was probably nice about 10 years ago. Service was excellent. Felt family run, so everyone had a stake in the business sort of thing. I would recommend going.
