Contribuiți la feedbackWe each ordered something different. I had the steak quesadillas, Mt husband had the fish, my mom the shrimp and fish and my kids had the burger and fish sticks. The food tasted great…the only issue is my husband who ate the fish had the bubble guts after lol overall the experience was good might have been something with the fish that upset his stomach
When we travel, we try to avoid the tourist restaurants and try to find typical local restaurants. El Toro Guerro was recommended to us by a local and an ex-pat for having excellent seafood. The menu was extensive and the three of us each choose different dishes. Two fish fillets and tacos. Fish is a tasty and delicate meal that normally doesn't need a lot of sauce. However, these fish dishes were smothered in sauce, so much so that you couldn't recognize what kind of fish was underneath it. This should have been a warning sign. Our son supposedly had sea bass or Mahi (the waiter wasn't sure), but it didn't matter, all he tasted was mango sauce. To make this long story short, all three of us ended up with food poisoning that night. No more meals, no snorkeling trip, no nothing. So thanks El Toro Guerro for ruining our vacation that we had looked so forward to. In retrospect, we should have looked at the reviews, we clearly are not the first to have this experience.
This spot was very welcoming and friendly. Clean and organized. The grilled fish tacos were so yummy and the Empanadas were amazing!
Our first visit we weren’t disappointed. Happy staff, great service and great coconut shrimp. What a lively happy place to go. It was quite busy but everything was great.
