Sag Pizza - SAG HARBOR

I had high expectations of this pizza, especially because they used a wood stove. The crust was crispy and stubborn, but I was disappointed with the taste and quality of the cheese. We ordered the San Marzano pizza, but it usually has the lowest quality mozzarella with a few tiny balls of fresh mozzarella. If it were all fresh mozzarella it would be 5 stars. It could be so much better, too bad!

It is regrettable that there are so many reviews of disappointed males. I was here a few times and enjoyed my pizza. I'm not sure some people know how to cook a real Neapolitan pizza. It will have some burned edges and soil. It's wood fired. That's typical. Also here the service was always good. I was treated with kindness by the staff. I agree with something that some say it's hot. The a/c was not up when I was here last and definitely not helping with the hot ovens, so not ideal. Sag Pizza is in the best location with a beautiful atmosphere. Definitely recommended!

The restaurant has a very cool personality. The pizza was burned down and at the edges, but still enjoyable and delicious. Possible customers have to wait outside to be seated... the two waiters seemed very busy laughing about something on their phone, while sets of waiting customers finally tired of nobody sitting them and leaving.

A customer has told us everything here is amazing. She was right. My wife says the truffle pizza is like in Italy. It was amazing. The cal salad with thyme vangrette was also great. Also get the truffle crust diving sauce!

Save your money and time. I live and work locally and I have tried giving this place chances to get things right, but everytime something goes wrong. The pie I ordered for lunch today took 45 mins (allotted a 30 min make time) to make, then the girl at the front gave me the wrong order so I walked back not one apology or ownership of messing it up, the other girl there took over apologized and made sure she was handing me the order. I paid extra to have extra basil out on the pie, and the amount usually put on is barely anything and this is supposedly extra. $21.
