Contribuiți la feedbackA very overrated restaurant in Clearwater. The reception is cold and arrogant. I would call it French atmosphere , except, it became obvious that the menu has no theme. Everything from Japanese to Mexican theme. Huh? The service was poor and unmotivated. The real arrogance came after the visit. The only reason I chose the place was because of Open Table . I booked the reservation and my clients were seated when I arrived. After the uninspired visit, the next day I find that they had canceled my reservation for no reason given. I attempted to communicate with them several times on their website, but was ghosted . They couldn 't be trusted to respond as professionals and make good on a measly 100 points and all I got was bad attitude and mediocre service and food to show for it.
I made a reservation here based on Tripadvisor Reviews, but have to say I was dissapointed. Oysters Rockefeller was covered in Old Bay Seasoning, and they were slightly warm so the cheese was hardened. I hate Old Bay, and the server should tell you that so it 's not a surprise. Husband ordered the Seafood Sampler, which the seafood part was good, but the cucumber salad dish, relish dish, and avocado dish take up half of the sampler, so not really a seafood sampler. I had the Mahi Mahi which was not sauted but fried, and very heavy. I did my best to remove the panko covering and just eat the fish, but it wasn 't easy to do. My Husband got the Grouper with tomatoe, capers, onions and garlic, which was like a salsa on top of a very small piece of grouper. We ordered the au gratin potatoes as a side, and they were the most tasteless paper thin potatoes I have ever had. They are supposed to be in a creamy sauce, which this was mostly a mozzarella cheese sauce and the potatoes were semi raw. All in all, not a good experience, and won 't recommend to anyone. Oh yes, and to top it all off, we noticed we were supposed to get bread right before our entre ' arrived, with a dish of olive oil and basel, but we had to ask for it so kinda poor timing on that one. I would also like to mention that the blasting music on the outside deck was Club music, not dinner music. Techno does not make for a relaxing meal!
This was the BEST meal I've had in a long time. I had the Island Seafood Bowl. Very good choice. skip the Paloma it was horrible. Can't wait to return when I'm back in Clearwater.
Great service and food for a for a birthday celebration
We sat at the outside bar, and we arrived just around 4pm. It was pretty empty at the time so Dylan, the bartender, gave spent time making sure we were good to go. But as the bar filled up, it become nearly impossible to get his attention. It seems like maybe a second bartender was needed. The drinks we got were good but nothing to write home about. However the sushi rolls were incredible and I would get them every night if I could.
