Rooms were nice, nice old fashioned aesthetic. Very good for a quick night of rest under a long srive. Staff understanding of being a little later than expected. Breakfast was ok. Location quiet
The building is intriguing in a historical sense, and the pleasant common areas show some hints of the age of the place. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are quite large, the breakfast is good (but nothing fancy) and the hotel restaurant is alright (but they don't have anything vegetarian on the menu when asked they can serve you a cold veggie burger). However, when it comes to decor, furnishing, equipment and such in the rooms, you kind of get the feeling you might as well be at a hostel. Examples: no hot water in the morning, no drapes in several of the rooms (although you can see that there used to be), flimsy toilet seats on toilets that don't flush properly, the cheap kind of soap and toilet paper dispensers, working desks with no chairs, showers that flood the bathroom when used, WiFi that's not always got Internet access and doesn't reach every room, etc ... And I'm pretty sure I got bed bugs in my room. So at the current nightly rate, it's not very impressive at all.
Cozy traditional style hostel, great breakfast with fresh pressed orange juice and homemade lever paste. The restaurant inside the hostel is really good!
Super professional staff. Decent rooms.
