Woodlake Tavern - Sacramento

Went for Valentine’s Day and it was amazing! Our server was so nice and made us feel very relaxed. Dessert was the best !

We really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere at Woodlake Tavern. The service was attentive and really helpful. Food was delicious. Wine suggestions from our waiter were great. Also the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the meal.

Very nice place over priced however and the food we had for the Valentines Day menu, aside from the dessert, was disgusting. It seems like they put these dishes together with one goal of just making the food look fancy. The flavors did not mix or compliment each other well and I could barely eat more than a bite. This goes for the first 2 courses. The environment was great, but their food quality is what will unfortunately prevent me from coming back. It just isn't good enough to be priced at what it's at

What a nice surprise. My husband and I had reservations at another restaurant for Valentine’s Day and I got an email from Woodlake Tavern, the invitation for a Valentines night dinner for two. I remember this place from years ago and thought why not! So my husband and I canceled our other reservations and headed to Woodlake Tavern. The food, the staff, the live band! we just had a ball, it was so nice to be able to have a conversation with each other without having to raise our voices. We will be back for sure!

We had a lovely Valentine’s dinner. The Woodlake is a great place for “happy hour” or a sit down dining experience. Our waitress Evette (sp? was outstanding !! Other staff was welcoming helpful, as well.
