Tower Cafe - Sacramento

Today I called ahead and the only vegan options are the sides like the fruit bowl/toast. Although I was told there is a vegan burger it isn’t labeled as such on the menu and also has Gouda cheese. I know one can order without the cheese but how can we be sure the patty and bun don’t contain dairy? There is no vegan quiche or tart—I explicitly asked… Updated from previous review on 2023-09-11

Two vegan burgers and salad are about the only options. The quality of food is good but choices are limited. Your Omni friends will love it.

UPDATE: Disappointed! I called several days in advance to ask when they have the new vegan French toast was told they'd have it all week. Called again this morning before brunch was told they only have it weekends, Mon Tues. Met my friend for weekday brunch anyways thinking they'd have something vegan. Nope. They wouldn't accommodate, no tofu to make a scramble, nothing easily modified. I even asked the server if he could speak with the chef. I had roasted potatoes fruit bowl. Tower Cafe, if you're testing adding vegan items to you menu, you need to be able to offer something everyday or make small modifications! Bottom line, call ahead same day if you want to make sure they have vegan dishes available. Original post. They are starting to add additional vegan options, finally! Always the best food, kind staff and beautiful scenery. I love going over and sitting outside to eat. Its a tranquil spot to relax and chat with friends over food. I’ve never had a bad meal. And never had anything less than an exceptional dessert. Trust me, if you don’t save room for dessert then get one to go. It’s worth it.
