Shalimar Grill - Sacramento

Shalimar Grill is the best Indo-Pak restaurant in Sacramento. The food quality is outstanding, and the service is exceptional. Chef Sajad is fantastic, and Jawad Haider truly excels in providing excellent service and guest care. We plan to visit this restaurant every chance we get for dining out. It's a wonderful spot for dining in, hosting small parties of about 150-180 people, and they offer a great catering menu at reasonable prices. Thank you, Shalimar Team!

I placed an order using their DoorDash link and arrived on time for pickup. However, when I got to the restaurant, I was informed that they never received my order. They asked me to cancel my online order and place a new one in person. They also failed to mention that their in-restaurant prices are nearly double what is listed on their online menu and DoorDash. When I pointed this out, the attendant told me it wasn’t her responsibility to address the pricing issue. Based on this experience, I won't be returning or placing any more online orders here.

The food at Shalimar Grill is better than that at Shalimar Restaurant. The Chicken Shish Kabob was rather chewy, almost reminiscent of eating a rubber band, and could definitely use some improvement. On the other hand, the chicken leg was delicious, and the green chutney really enhanced the flavor.

I was disappointed with my experience at the restaurant. They never answered the phone when I tried to place an order, and when I ordered in person, the food was always late.

Shalimar is fantastic! It’s one of our favorite spots, and we were excited to try the Sacramento location. We’re so glad we did! We ordered garlic naan, karahi gosht, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, and goat biryani. Each dish was incredibly authentic, well-portioned, flavorful, and absolutely delicious!
