Frasinetti Winery - Sacramento

I was so happy to see that Frasinetti's is open again, albeit with very limited hours/days and a very abbreviated menu compared to what they used to offer.... At least when comparing to the menu offerings in the late 90's. I was looking forward to enjoying some veal, which they used to have. Unfortunately, it's not on the menu anymore. My wife and my friend both ordered New York steak w/pesto gnocchi and fresh vegetables. They were both happy with their meals. I ordered baked ravioli and asked to have grandma's pot roast added to my pasta, which they gladly did! It was a great pairing. Who could resist getting Frasinetti's Chianti? It is one of my favourites; very reasonably priced and accompanies the food exquisitely. We ordered a bottle for the table, and then I had to visit the tasting room to pick up a bottle to take with me, as well as a bottle of their almond champagne (sparkling wine). Since the family is ready to take the next step and sell the family business, we don't know how much time is left to enjoy the food, wine, ambiance, and wonderful service.... I suggest you make your way for a nice meal before it's too late.

This is definitely one of the hidden gems of Sacramento. It is tucked away, in a very quiet, serene place. The service was impeccable. The food was outstanding. We are coming back for sure!

Nice history, comfortable ambiance, attentive servers, but the food left a-lot to be desired. Attended Easter brunch. Food selection was limited. Bacon was cold and undercooked. I love bacon but found this inedible. Eggs tasted like they were boxed and were cold. Peel and eat shrimp were mushy. Pastries were packaged, cold, and limited. Quiche was dry and cold. Tri tip was good. All in all, not a good experience.

I was really disappointed with the Mother's Day brunch. At $45 per person, I expected much better. All of the desserts looked like they came straight out of a Costco box! The shrimp was soggy, the tri-tip was tough, and the mini quiche was inedible. This experience was disheartening for both me and my daughters. It’s honestly the worst brunch I've ever had.

Wow! The food was excellent, and the service was fantastic. I'm looking forward to trying their Sunday brunch next!
