Fin’s House Sushi Ramen - Sacramento

Throughout our meal, the plates were never cleared from the table after each course, and although we didn’t have to wait long for our food, we were disappointed to find it all heavily drenched in sauce. The sushi rolls lacked flavor and, unfortunately, were on par with what I could get from Safeway. The restaurant wasn’t busy, yet no one checked in on us to see if we needed anything, nor did they refill our waters. The only highlight of the meal was the salmon skin hand rolls, which were surprisingly good, earning this review a single star. When we were ready to pay, I had to flag down a staff member, and when my card was returned, it was simply placed on the table in front of me without any comment. Overall, it was a disappointing experience that left us feeling uneasy during our meal. Perhaps the staff were having an off day or our server was in training, but I can't say I would return. On a positive note, there was ample parking available.

The staff here are consistently friendly and welcoming. I usually order the California Rolls, which are delicious and make for a great meal, whether you're dining alone or getting them to go. I highly recommend them for their taste, quality, and freshness—it's reliable every time. They also stay open until 9:00 PM for your convenience. After checking out some reviews, I was a bit hesitant to try this restaurant, but I’m so glad I decided to go based on the positive feedback. I ordered the jalapeño bombs, the spicy ninja roll, and the bluefin maki roll. The food was incredibly good in the best way possible—fresh and super tasty. The service was excellent as well. The atmosphere was just okay, nothing particularly special, but a previous review mentioned that the pallets were just screwed together, and honestly, it wasn’t that bad. I would definitely return!

I ordered miso soup, seaweed salad, pepper fin, and my girlfriend had a roll. Everything was enjoyable and fairly standard. The service was good. I appreciated the generous amount of green onions and tofu in the miso soup, and the red fish egg garnish added a nice touch. The fish tasted fresh. The pepper fin was a bit different from what I'm used to; the slices of fish were slightly cooked on the outside and thicker than what I typically see. Unfortunately, they didn’t have Hamachi kama (roasted tuna collar), which is one of my favorites at sushi restaurants, so that was a letdown.
