Chando's Tacos - Sacramento

A group of hungry high school baseball players stopped by for lunch, and it was a great choice. The food was freshly cooked, and we didn't have to wait long for it to be ready. It was delicious, though a bit oily. It is also somewhat pricier compared to other Mexican restaurants. Overall, I recommend this place and would definitely come back.

As I sat down with my coworkers, I found my quesadilla to be dry and tasting burnt, while my coworker had a perfectly cooked, juicy brown quesadilla. I was the only non-Hispanic woman in our group, and it felt like the service I received was markedly different from that of others. I was polite and respectful when ordering, but the way I was treated made me feel as if I were seen differently. It’s disappointing because I live relatively close to this restaurant and had been a regular customer, especially considering past incidents that led to a decline in patrons. However, after this experience, I won’t be coming back, even for the meals I ordered for my coworkers. It makes no sense for me to continue spending my money there.

Some of the best street tacos I've ever had! I've seen some negative reviews here, but it might depend on what you ordered. In the photo, you can see one carnitas taco and another one we call the "cousin" of carnitas, which is cochinita! The cochinita is spicy, full of flavor, and marinated to perfection. I also recommend going in person so you can double-check your order, especially since the food is on the pricier side at $3.50 per taco. If you're having trouble because no one speaks English, maybe you could look up how to order a taco in Spanish. Just say you want Mexican food—it's not too hard to find on your phone! Overall, these are fantastic street tacos. I've been a few times, and if I'm in the area again, this will definitely be my go-to spot.

I stole my cousin here and they really liked him. It does not feel like authentic Mexican food, but it serves him niche.

I kept hearing good things about the queso tacos so I ordered 7 for takeout around $42 which is a little on the pricier side. Which is fine if they are decent but when I got home and open the boxes all of the queso shells were burnt to a chrisp. Not sure how they let food looking like get to the customer.
