Broadway Fish Shrimp - Sacramento

I was in their lot going for BBQ. I saw it in the corner of the parking lot so we took a look. We wanted the fried shrimp and ordered a 1/2 pound without fries. We were waiting in our car and they worker came to our window. He said he was sorry and he was out of shrimp. He could refund our money or we could get something else and he would give us a full pound. I asked what else he had and he said that we could get catfish or snapper. He knew he had catfish because he just cut it up. So we went with that. He gave us a full pound and more with fries. The catfish was really good. Not dry and cooked perfectly. we liked it a lot. the fries were just frozen fries so nothing special. The tartar sauce was house made so nice. We will have to come back and try the shrimp heheh.

I had pre-order my meal from Uber eats. The website said that they open at 11 AM seven days a week. I was to get my delivery between 12 and 1230. My Uber arrived at 11:45 they were told they were closed until 12 o’clock because of a catering job. So she had to wait 20 to 30 minutes to pick up my order??? I ordered a tri-tip sandwich, Texas barbecue beans, macaroni and pasta salad, and coleslaw. The tri-tip sandwich was approximately 8 inches long the meat was very tender and they had just enough barbecue sauce. I found the barbecue sauce to be on the very thin side.. and very mild not as robust as I should’ve received. The Texas barbecue beans arrived still hot. I found them tasty but I believe they had too much of a spice of cumin hot pepper would’ve been a better choice... My macaroni and pasta salad was a little on the water side and not very much flavorful. Black pepper and salt is the only thing you can do but they should’ve added more garlic or green onions. The coleslaw cabbage was very crispy a little creamy and actually quite good I would definitely recommend the coleslaw. This is my true BBQ since leaving the hell known as Florida. Florida has no good restaurants per se. That’s because they all have horrible taste buds…??????

When I received my order and paid almost $18 for it, I was disappointed to find that the fish was overcooked and the shrimp was undercooked. When I called the restaurant to request a refund, I was told that I had been gone too long and could not return the food. I asked to speak to a manager, but was informed that they had already left for the day. I insisted that they be informed of my call and that I would follow up the next day. The staff assured me that the manager would be informed, but I was not satisfied with their response. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. The customer service was terrible, the food was not properly cooked, and there was a lack of willingness to address customer complaints. The refusal to refund my money for the subpar meal was a major red flag. Please be cautious when dining at this establishment.

To simplify this, the shrimp tastes like Dawn hand soap. What a waste of $15 plus the generator was so loud i couldn't even hear myself think. Makes for a shouting match when placing an order.

Good grub, but they forgot the hush puppies I ordered paid-for. When will I learn to check the contents before I leave? Good catfish fries though. Recommended.
