Taffingsmuhle - Saarlouis

Rarely experienced so unfriendly operation and several times! Never again. There was no tip from me today. The bill was 9€, I gave him 20€. The service, a man, came back with an invoice of 10€ and said he had lost the piece 1€. Yeah, no, it's clear. I waited until he got the 1€. Good idea, not with me. As I said, I have rarely experienced such an unfriendly operation. And this is easy 5 times in the Taffingsmühle. You don't get any more money from me.

We were the first, but certainly not the last time to visit the taffing mill. The idyllic ambience on , unlike the first appearance, stable folding chairs with thick pillows, can be enjoyed relaxed. They sit in the middle of a green feel-good oasis. The friendly service takes the order very fast, the appetizers were on the table after a short time. The main dishes were very tasty, the waiting period very short, the prices are moderate and by no means too expensive. A rich drink and dessert card of the fruit cups only prepared with fresh fruit! complete the offer. On the ground you can sit comfortably under large parasols and eat really well in a very pleasant atmosphere in the middle of nature.

A summer evening in the garden restaurant of the Taffingsmühle. All around only green and quiet from the bird whip. The garden has a slightly Bavarian touch, but really only light. The impression is created by this blue white mast in the middle and the blue parasols. Otherwise it's an idyllic place. At the house wall a mill wheel turns its circles in the water. Fortunately, the menu does not offer Bavarian food (not so mine). The salads are delicious, the cook has it. The bread also has a special taste, is somehow "fine" as a cube, although it looks the same. In the restaurant it is rustic, which is not entirely my style, but the nice hostess, the friendly service and the good food let me forget that. In any case there are fabric napkins on beautiful covered tables with candle around the flower. When we did the two. At that time, my companion persuaded me to a glass of red wine (we were ready with the food) and I said that I would like to try another one than the first time. And she brings me one who is usually not in open wines; he was left. He didn't cost. It was really good. And who has eaten too much can run a round around the Taffingsweiher. The route is not too long and not too short. A hotel is connected to the restaurant. Sleep in the green and yet very close to the city. Alles hier ist irgendwie ganz nett: Das Essen, kein Grund zu Beanstandungen aber auch ohne viel Liebe gemacht und praesentiert, das nette Haus, eine ehemalige Muehle, ganz passabel, aber es koennte so viel mehr sein, der Biergarten, ganz OK, aber kein Highlight, weder von der Gestaltung her, noch von der Moeblierung oder Bepflanzung. Was uns an diesem Abend wirklich sehr gut gefallen hat, war der herzliche, liebenswerte und korrekte Service einer jungen Dame/Bedienung. Sehr gut. Vielen Dank!

Gut bürgerliche Küche. Sehr gute Zubereitung und alles sehr lecker . Schöner Salatteller als Einstieg. Im Sommer schöner Biergarten im Grünen.
