The local cuisine in Austria is often excellent. This restaurant was far from it. The Kaiserschamarrn was “OK”. The 4 main dishes we had (Kasnockerl, Kaspressknoedel, and some kind of mushroom “ragout”) were a great disappointment however. While some Austrian dishes can be rather on the heavy side, they are still excellent. This food was just heavy and pappy. I would rather forgo eating at local restaurant in Saalfelden altogether than eat here again. On a humorous note: The vegetarian dishes include “ 2 cheese-rolldumplings with leaf salad in beef broth”.

The food was good but not as good as a few years ago. The schnitches are no longer on the menu. Unfortunately, the whole building smells like smoke, you're not gonna get away with it, even though you're not in the not smoking part.

Liendelwirt stands for Austrian cuisine with pinzgauer specialties. absolutely recommended. good value for money, nice people. on Friday will be kicked, there are live music.

It's not a restaurant, it's a tavern with very democratic prices, you're not gonna find a high kitchen, but it's pretty good, but it's pretty slow.

Liendlwirt has a very nice outdoor area. We have been here quite often. The BBQ night is the best day to visit, because this offers a good meal at a very decent price. You will also be entertained by live music, which adds to the experience.
