Paraná Empanadas Liberty Station

These empanadas are PERFECT. I stop by every time in Point Loma for a spicy beef but you honestly cannot go wrong with any option. Jackfruit is delicious and you would have no idea its vegan. If Ariana is there- trust her recommendations! Great service.

Good casual spot to get a delicious empanada for a good price. It is juicy and very well baked. It is also very well seasoned, specially the Malbec beef and super recomend it.I ordered the combo of 3 and picked one chicken, one malbec beef and one spinach with feta. Chicken was the one I liked less.Good service, the attendent was kind and efficient.Don't miss the opportunity to get empanadas during your visit in market.

I got to try some empanadas at their food stall setup in Lane Field Park. Ordered one beef and one guava/cream cheese. The beef empanada came with a small serving of chimichurri, which was a strong and needed flavor booster, as the empanada by itself didn’t have the most flavor. The dessert empanada was very good though, and the combination of guava jam and cream cheese was something I’d never tried before.The pricing is $5 per, with a deal for 3 empanadas for $13.

One of the better empanadas I've had in the states with a variety of options. The fillings were yummy, something about the pastry made me want more. In Liberty Station Market, this will be one of my go-to spots for a bite. You know it must be good with the lines!

I bought 3 different flavors to try: chicken chipotle, beef malbec, and spicy chorizo (vegan). I agree with previous reviews that the crust was weirdly underwhelming. It wasn't even golden--just kind of white with no glaze and little seasoning. It did have a nice heft to it to hold the fillings. Definitely get the chimichurri sauce, which boosts the flavor and takes it to the next level. The best of the 3 was the chicken chipotle. The beef malbec ingredients sounded good, but the actual texture was soggy and unappealing. I also appreciate the variety of flavors offered and would like to try the others if we visit again in the future. Prices are very reasonable.
