Laprincesa Tacoshop - S San Diego

They have an excellent bar program w/ a bartender, Rosa, who knows how to mix a drink (she makes both an excellent martini and a wonderful Manhattan) as well as very good food and friendly service. The restaurant itself is eclectic--modern and spare in one regard yet some dining is done in tents w/ the idea of a nature setting. I thoroughly enjoyed the roasted beet salad as well as the fennel sausage and mushroom flatbread (w/ plenty of leftovers for dinner the next night) and regret not being able to order some of the other items on the menu that looked incredibly interesting. I do not know if I will ever get back to San Diego but if I do I will definitely revisit.

Please update your hours on google because it says you’re open til 9pm yet I just drove to get there at 6:45pm and you were shut. Not good. Thanks!

It was my first time trying out this taco shop and I was happy I did. The customer service was amazing. They let us try pozzole, and their fresh made orchata. I also ordered some street tacos and tamales and they did not disappoint. I’d suggest popping in and grabbing some food if you are in the area.

I love the tamales, the street tacos are delicious and the chips and salsa are legit! Had some yesterday and already craving it again today. Super friendly staff.

LOVE the decor at this restaurant, you 'll feel like you 're glamping! You 're sitting in a tent, with a mural of the woods, but you are indoors, nice and cozy! SUPER attentive waitress, and eclectic menu! I loved the flat iron steak with the gnocchi, delicious! And try the Chupacabra Margarita if you 're into spicy, YUM! We had a large party, and everyone loved their dishes burgers, Impossible burgers, salads, flatbreads! I would 've given the restaurant 5 stars, but for some reason the beer was flat. The waittress even brought new glasses after we complained, and they were also flat! Not sure if this is a continuing problem, or just the night we were there. But there are also cocktails and wine.
