Dirty Birds Ocean Beach - S San Diego

When I walk by this place, I can't help but why wonder why it's always empty... Is it the food or service that is keeping people away? So, I went to check it out. It's expensive! It's about $2.50 a wing. The wings were dried and salty. I forced myself to eat it. Now, I know why the community don't support this place and it's not only because their wings sucks. There's an hidden 4% surcharge that increases your total bill and tips. This goes straight to the owner's pocket. They don't tell you about this and hope you don't ask either when you see it on your bill. Looks like this place only attracts tourist. You go down the street and other restaurants are packed. The community don't support this place. Now you know why.

Wings were very good but the flies were terrible. Put up a screen for the patio.

What a nice place! People are friendly, price is reasonable and the food is good. Went twice while I was visiting OB area.I had the Buffalo chicken salad and a burger. Both were very good. Highly recommend.

Dare I say that Dirty Birds was… dirty? Tables, menu all kind of grossly dirty. I was excited about trying the many flavored wings but all were rather bland. Meh. Boring.

BEST. WINGS. EVER. I always make it a point to go here anytime we're in OB. The staff are always super friendly and helpful, and the vibe is really chill, almost like everyone knows each other. Love this place!
