Oakwood Cafe - Ryedale

This cafe is a stunning addition to any camping trip! The pizzas and coffee are absolutely delicious.

I don’t usually rate places 5 stars but this time I feel it is deserved. We had one night here and previously (two years ago) two nights. Both times have been flawless. The campsite is very well maintained. Bins, water and grey waste stations are everywhere. The pitches are hard standing and are of a generous size. I believe there is a grass section for tents too. We arrived after 5pm and the lovely lady on reception had left us a map with our pitch easily marked out. The facilities block are fabulously clean, modern and offer many toilets, showers and sinks with fancy LED lighting. Water in the showers is lovely and hot. Washing up facilities are also immaculate. On-site has a laundry room too. All in all it’s just what you want. It’s a lovely place and I wouldn’t hesitate in referring friends or family here.

I couldn't find any faults. I visited this restaurant with my 5-year-old son on our first camping trip together. The play area was wonderful and the restaurant itself was peaceful. The facilities, especially the family shower area, made it convenient for parents like me. The staff were kind and knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning in the future.

The coffee and homemade cakes at this restaurant are absolutely delightful. I highly recommend trying the cakes on pie night, as well as the delicious pizzas. Overall, it is definitely worth a visit for a fantastic dining experience.
