Blacksmith's Arms - Ryedale

Absolutely banging. Credit to the chef and the team. Absolutely stunning and tasty jerk chicken. My friend had curry goat and I sampled this too. Wow. Just awesome. 10 put of 10

We were recommended this pub by a staff member at Forest holidays where we were residing for a week. We ventured there a got a nice welcome. The food was good so we went a second night too. We would recommend it.

We have visited the Blacksmiths on a number of occasions before, and while holidaying in the area before Christmas, decided to take our friends along. A warm welcome greeted us, then we had the choice of having a drink in the bar before heading to the dining room, but we went straight to the table. I thought that I’d already made my mind up what I was having (Steak Ale Pie! but when I saw Venison Bourguignon with a Herb Dumpling on the specials board I was hooked!!! Everything was exquisite, the service, the meal, and the chips oh my word, the chips!!! Best I have had in living memory!!! Puddings were also very good, and they were happy to change things slightly to accommodate preferences. Overall an excellent meal!!!

Beautiful old pub in the middle of a lovely village. Walked here .. had a couple of drinks in cosy bar, eaten here before, but we didn't eat this time... although, looking at the food, we did miss out.... looks as good as ever.
