Al Dente Pizzeria - Rye

The drunken vodka grandma is so good! Just like everyone says. The staff was very friendly and great service. We highly recommend!

First time ever complaining about food and not one to do so but this place needs to be shut down. That food was disgusting and it wasn’t just my meal. Salmon was slimy and eggplant was like eating leather and none of the food had any taste.

It's been over 15 years since first eating here and I talk about it every time I talk about New York. Amazing food and good people. I would happily eat everything on the menu

Last Friday I was out late shopping and Google 'd pizza and Al Dente popped up. I drove over there and although it was late, there were some really good looking sausage slices. I got one to go and while I was eating, I was thinking this is a really good slice. I wanted to get another, but it was now 10pm so they were closing. Went home and told my wife about this spot we need to try out. Fast forward to last night and it the pouring rain we took a 20+ minute ride out to Rye. Ordered a large pie over the phone for pick-up. The box felt light, but I put it on my backseat and drove him. Man what a terrible pie. It was thin, lacked cheese and was much smaller than what I remember last week 's sausage slice to be like. This Al Dente pie was reminiscent of a Brooklyn dollar slice . Pure garbage. Never going back.

I stopped in for lunch and ordered the chicken club and it was delicious. The chicken cutlets were FRESHLY fried and THIN, only way to do it in my opinion…
