Jempson's Cafe - Rye

Absolutely fantastic hot and cold foods, cakes and drinks. the staff was very friendly and I would come back here without a doubt.

An extremely popular cafe in Rye, and for a reason. A superb collection of freshly baked goods and local produce. A full selection of hot and cold drinks from the counter plus various cold drinks from the chilled cabinet. Upstairs seating as well as downstairs. Disabled access from a little way up the street, but once in no disabled access to the counter.

I always love this place! The food and service are fantastic. Although the seating is limited, it's a wonderful spot for a hearty snack or a refreshing drink, whether hot or cold.

This is a great spot to wait for a train, especially since it opens early in the morning. I’ve been coming here for years, but there’s one thing that needs improvement: the espresso should be served in scaled cups. The heavy cups are meant to keep the coffee warm, and the machine has a system to heat them. However, if they are not warmed up properly, the espresso ends up inevitably cooling down, which isn’t ideal. It’s a minor issue, but a memorable one. Despite this, it remains my favorite place.
