Contribuiți la feedbackUnexpected stop, busy but we were accommodated just in time for breakfast. Beautiful surroundings and the interior is very classy. Loved the avocado, poached egg with smoked salmon. Tastefully presented. Great coffee. CM see why it's so popular
My friend and I visited The View this morning and we were both very disappointed with our "The View Cooked Breakfast." While most of the food on our plates was warm, the hash browns were cold. After informing the waitress, we received replacement hash browns that were even colder, with mine being partially frozen in the middle. We suggested a sausage as a replacement, and after a long delay, we were given two piping hot sausages. Another waitress apologized for the inconvenience and mentioned that we would not be charged the full price for our meal. However, when we went to pay, we were surprised by the nearly £40 bill for two unexceptional breakfasts and four coffees. Upon asking for a discount due to the cold hash browns, we were told there would be no discount or apology, as we had been offered extra sausages. We expressed our disappointment and stated that we would not be returning.
This was not at all the best breakfast around and not the best value. Most of it was not very warm and we had to ask for butter for the toast. We wouldn’t go again and all of the family have said they wouldn’t either. They also are not at all flexible with the menu. It is however a lovely building and nicely presented
Decided we would give this a 2nd chance for weekend Brunch; after a prior experience. Never again. On arrival we were informed there was a 40 minute wait for food so we ordered hot drinks. Then we were informed there was a 30 minute delay to being able to actually order brunch. This would then compound the extra time. It was not that busy with plenty staff available. We had our hot drinks, paid and went elsewhere for a much better experience Not recommending
Our first time back for food since their very posh revamp. The building is beautiful, lofty, lots of wood with a bit of an Aspen feel to it. It makes the most of its position with great views out onto Rutland water too. The beef dish with horseradish mash was lovely, would highly recommend and at £15 a very reasonable price. The gnocchi was well cooked but I couldn’t taste the walnut pesto at all…it needs a bit of sauce. Coffee was very good but the amount you get is too small. Bigger cups please. Service was friendly and helpful. Parking easy and plentiful. Very dog friendly…few too many barking hounds for our liking but apart from that we enjoyed our lunch.
