Amberesque B&b - Rutherglen

I can't recommend this place enough. we stayed for 5 nights and fortunately would have stayed longer. this former bank is a very cozy place to stay and excellent for all the activities they want to do in the beautiful environment of rutherglen. the community rooms are particularly comfortable and a great place to have a drink while planning activities or relaxing at the end of the day. amber goes the extra mile to make their guests comfortable with tasty breakfasts, recommendations for activities and everything they might think. the record player, free flowing touch local muskat and the first night cheese plate were very appreciated. we are happy to return to the future.

Wow great place to stay and base yourself in beautiful Rutherglen. Amber is a great host, nothing is a problem and she is so knowledgeable and passionate about the Rutherglen region. The B&B is located in a magnificent property, originally built in 1899. Our room had a great bed and an array of bathroom amenities. There are also very spacious common spaces (huge lounge and balcony with vista, heating/fans and mini bar) plus you are literally next door to the best restaurants in town. We had the most wonderful Easter break in Rutherglen. Amber’s hospitality, local knowledge and superb B&B were key elements of our most memorable stay. Oops I nearly forgot to mention the outstanding, generous, home cooked gastronomic breakfasts. Thanks Amber.

Had the pleasure of staying here with my partner last weekend from Friday Monday and am so glad that we did! Amber (and her lovely family) was the most attentive and wonderful host; from her delicious (look forward to every day) cooked breakfast, to special in room touches, and just all over lovely ‘can’t do enough to help’ attitudes, it was an amazing stay. Will absolutely be back if we visit the region again, and can’t recommend it enough to anyone who is looking at staying in the area.
