Lakeside Thai American - Ruther Glen

Food is quality and very good. Especially the Pad Thai! I believe the owner is a one man band, so he is a little slow. But it is worth the wait!

Same place as Lakeside Thai American restaurant: So don't make same mistake I did and go elsewhere. Thai food is not good. I ordered green curry and specifically asked that it not be watery. Well it was watery and tasted like they forgot to add green curry paste and substituted fish oil instead. Not only that, vegetables added looked like they used a can of corn, string beans, and carrot mix and threw it in there, not fresh vegetables. I should have taken the hint when I tried to call in the order initially and he kept asking me who I was and wouldn't take my order because he didn't know me. He blamed someone ordering from the past who didn't pick up the food. Great way to grow your business. Again, that's what I get for being in mood for only Thai and went with closest one available.

Good but slow. Love the egg rolls and the Thai tea. Yummers. That tea is perfect for a hot day at the pool or beach

Amazing green curry. Simply amazing. Authentic thai veggies cooked perfectly, the chicken literally melts in your mouth. Perfectly spicy and a generous serving. My only complaint is that I didn't know about this place sooner. I have been driving to either Richmond or Fredericksburg from Ruther Glen to get my thai fix and this newly opened restaurant has been less than 5 minutes from my door for a full month. And a plus- the owner is a seasoned RC hobbyist. Plenty of larger scale airplanes, quadcopters and the like hanging from the walls.
