South Shore Pizza - Ruskin

I have been customer for over 8 years I always complain if MY order is uncorrected or food is not 100%.. The Spinat Feta and Buffalo chicken pizza INCREDIBLE, which the PIZZA KEEP UPTHE GOOD WORK Pizza tonight was the best I have at SOUTHSHORE

Tonight, we thought we’d give them one more try. I was a bit hesitant, but my son really wanted the mac and cheese bowl, so we went ahead and ordered. An hour later, our food arrived. I specifically requested no bacon on my son's mac and cheese bowl, yet it was topped with bacon. I also asked for no ranch and to add lettuce to my sub, but what I got was a minuscule sub with ranch and no lettuce. On top of that, I ordered a chicken bacon ranch sub and found pieces of beef in it. It’s clear there’s no quality control coming from this place. We’ve been searching for a reliable restaurant in the area, but this is definitely not it! They will not be receiving any more of our money.

Recently, I decided to give it another shot. I called ahead and spoke with the manager on duty that day. She was extremely polite and attentive to my concerns. I explained that I used to order several times a week but had stopped due to the declining quality. I requested that she ensure my food was prepared properly. It's frustrating to have to call ahead just to make sure the food is made right. After that conversation, I tried ordering again, hoping for an improvement. Unfortunately, the pizza just isn't what it used to be, which is incredibly disappointing. Today was the final straw. I ordered my usual sausage and pepperoni pizza, but out of caution due to previous disappointments, I checked it before paying. And it looked just as I feared—where's the cheese? The explanation I received was that for months, they had been overloading their pizzas with cheese and decided to scale back to cut costs. So essentially, customers are getting a lower quality product while the restaurant saves money. They have definitely lost me as a customer for good. I would rather make the longer drive for a better-quality pizza. And to the owner, please don’t waste your time with offers or discounts—I’m not interested. Below is a picture of what their pizzas used to look like a few months ago compared to what I’ve been getting lately. Never again.

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant, and I found their website very easy to navigate. The delivery driver was fantastic—super friendly and made sure to double-check that my order included my extra garlic sauce. The kids loved the pepperoni and sausage pizza, claiming it was the best pizza they’ve ever had! The dessert pie was also delicious and came with plenty of icing. However, I was let down by the small mushroom pizza. As you can see from the pictures I wasn’t able to upload, there was hardly any cheese, and the amount of sauce was excessive. I typically request light sauce but decided against it this time because I had heard so many great things about their sauce ratio. That said, the large pizza was excellent in that regard. Unfortunately, my experience with the mushroom pizza didn't meet expectations. I was really hoping this restaurant would become my go-to for pizza night, but I'm not so sure anymore. I may still order from here in the future, but I likely won’t be selecting them for my weekly Friday night pizza.

1. Order a pepperoni pizza. Pretty simple order. Open the box and the cake looked thirst? super dry. I guess I'll stay with hungry Howies. I'm still confused about how the Middle West has better cake than anything I met down here.
