The Pelican - Runnymede

The restaurant has a new manager and is undergoing a refurbishment. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. The food quality and cleanliness have improved significantly. The outside space has also received a lot of attention. However, during a recent Sunday lunchtime visit, there was an incident in the beer garden that made us feel uncomfortable, despite the bar manager handling it well. Hopefully, the positive changes will have a lasting impact. The restaurant continues to improve and is a great spot on hot days. During another visit for Sunday lunch, the service was top-notch, and the roast dinners were cooked to perfection with generous portions. The friendly local atmosphere adds to the overall experience. I am happy to raise my rating to 5 stars. Well done to the Pelican Team.

Charming restaurant with delicious food and incredible music. Stunning riverfront views enhance the ambiance.

We stopped by the restaurant tonight and spent £15.60 on 2 pints of tribute and a bag of scratchings. The bartender simply took our money without acknowledging the total amount or engaging in any friendly conversation. Overall, we felt the service was quite rude.

The food is not expensive and the atmosphere is very nice.

Great selection of beers , delicious food , a fantastic terrace on the canal side , friendly people, best place to spend afternoons specially if it’s a nice weather outside .
