Upon our return, we reviewed the menus and decided to order the surf and turf as well as the gammon and egg. However, the friendly girl behind the bar couldn't explain what "surf and turf" was, and when I mentioned that we were told there would be no meat from the grill—which meant half the menu was unavailable—and no fish, we were quite frustrated. We were starving and ended up ordering the samosas and chips, which were served cold. When we asked who was responsible for this oversight, we were told that they didn’t serve fish because there was a fish and chip shop down the road, and there have been no steaks because they had sold out the night before and hadn’t received their next delivery yet. It was incredibly disappointing. Despite the poor food situation, I must admit that the pub itself was nice, and the cleanliness and drink selection were excellent. What a shame that the dining experience did not match up to the atmosphere!

An easy-go pub with a local crowd, average TV on offer and typical beers and ales. Toilets are OK. Very good car-parking provision.

Went on Wednesday 31st July with family the food was well presented and all home made delicious steak pie and the landlord very helpful will go here again

I called in here with my wife for a mid week meal. The pub was quite so there was plenty of seating. The eating areas are warm and clean, service quick and friendly. The menu has plenty and choice and the meals are well priced....We both enjoyed what we had and would certainly return in the future.
