The service was friendly and the location was nice. I decided to eat here last minute while on a cozy ride, and found the service to be very personable. At first, the menu seemed extensive and the prices slightly high, but after enjoying a three-course meal with drinks, the price was well worth it. The meal was well cooked and served with good service and drinks. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a English pub to eat at, as there is a lot to choose from and the location is beautiful. I can't wait for summer days to bring friends and family here as well. The Rose Castle is a great choice. I also discovered a sister pub nearby called The Shilton Arms, and will be sure to spread the word about both establishments.

We received a very warm and friendly welcome at this restaurant. We settled in at table 5 and enjoyed a delicious meal, all at a fair price. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the personal touch. They also had a great selection of beers. This place is definitely a top pick for me.

We were warmly welcomed and shown on our table. we ordered the suppe and the black pudding star and the lasagne and cake for the net. the food was immediately served and hot pierced, freshly cooked. eating was delicious and I would definitely recommend a meal here.

Excellent food. Had pate to start warm bread and all homemade was delicious. Prime Sirloin for main chips were truly a thing of beauty! Crisp and fluffy. Steak tender, peppercorn sauce generous and delicious. Highly recommended. Decent pint too doombar and tribute on tap.
