Hotel Felsenkeller

This hotel is in a great location right in the heart of Ruedeshiem the rooms were small but enough for a day or two, This was our 3 visit and we love it. The room was very hot with no A C or fan but very nice typical for the area, The food was basic simple but very nice and tasty.

Our second visit here and I have come to the opinion that you either like it or you don’t. The staff are welcoming and helpful but we have an issue with the rooms. They are very dated but very clean. There is no air conditioning, no fridge, no English tv and for us very uncomfortable beds. Drinks at the bar are expensive. Breakfast was typical continental but well presented and plentiful. Make your own mind up!

Not that Ruedesheim is a very big city, quite the opposite. But we found this to be a good location to sit down and have a glass while deciding on where to go and what to do next. Nice terrace for warm days. The waiter was a real comedian speaking to us in a bunch of different languages but he was surprisingly efficient and drinks arrived very fast. Did not try the food but to sit down a short while the place does what you need and expect with nothin more or less.

There is nothing to complain at the price! 4 days at the Hotel Felsenkeller, 3 nights with breakfast and a dinner at the price of 250 € for 2 people can probably be called a real bargain. The Hotel Felsenkeller offers its guests a friendly stay. A parking space 5€ per day, nearby. The rock cellar is located in the old town, near the choke. Restaurants, sights, wine cellars and very beautiful old town houses with all kinds of shops that offer souvenirs. Many tourists stroll in the old town, the restaurants are well visited. The hotel, a beautiful well maintained, semi-concrete house, came in the years, offers rustic well maintained hospitality. Rooms are clean and spacious. On the floors you will find clothing made of leather or individual sofas that invite you to stay. The lounge is friendly and well maintained and modernly equipped, guests can enjoy their food and drinks in a beautiful atmosphere. There is also a rustic dining room with terrace. The room could be bought at 2:00. Our Finn moved in and pays 12€ per night I want dinner good and delicious. Follow pictures of breakfast. Breakfast, with everything that makes the day good. Fine, noble cheese specialities and fresh fruit not only satisfy my taste. That makes it easy to start the day.

We stayed at the hotel on 31.12.2018. We were very happy with our stay. For a 3-star house very family-run. We were particularly surprised at the good kitchen. At Rüdesheim not always so easy to find the right one at the time of the year. And we met an old kitchen master Michael Auerswald, who used to lead the kitchen in the Weingut Altenkirch. we had pumpkin cream calf spine forest parfait. Great. We're coming back
