Le BB Snack - Royan

This was a gamble for us, but it turned out to be an extremely good restaurant at enjoyable prices. We were not alone as the restaurant was constantly full and bustling.

This place has a nice atmosphere and the food was tasty, well-resented and not too expensive given the location. The only thing stopping us giving 5/5 is that the tables were crowded very close together so our plan to have an intimate meal for two was not possible, as we felt a little crowded by other diners.

We visited this place last year and were looking forward to more great food but disappointingly was not the case. My salad was one tomato with a few sprigs basil and mozzarella cheese . 12 euros . The steak was the grisly end of something with lots of fat and Def not worth the 18euros . Kids pizzas were tiny and not much meat on them . Even 5 euros was poor value . Not sure what has changed . Management or maybe money just doesn’t guarantee good food anymore . Save your 60 euros or more and self cater !!!

Always busy, informal, unfussy, well-sorted budget-priced restaurant. Efficient staff, straightforward food, reliable quality, pizza oven, small but likeable menu.

We spent 4 nights in Royan and we ate dinner 3 of those nights at BB Shack which says a lot . The staff recognised us each time As well and looking round we recognised returning customers as well . The food was just delicious , the service quick and courteous even when the restaurant was obviously busy and the price was reasonable . We obviously ate at other places for lunch, snacks etc and they just didn’t compare . The kids meal deal is good value . 5 euros for a big pizza compared to 10 plus euros at other places . The mozzarella and tomato salad was huge !!! Well worth a visit , will definitely return on next trip .
