Pinky's Rooftop Royal Oak

I recently visited this restaurant with a group of seven people, and we didn’t have a reservation. We were seated right away, and as the restaurant got busier throughout the rainy evening, our drinks and food were served with minimal wait. The desserts that passed by us looked absolutely stunning. I also appreciated the charming decor throughout the venue. I’ll definitely return on a dry summer evening so I can enjoy the rooftop without the rain!

I absolutely love the interior of this place. It has such a cool vibe! I used to come here for brunch occasionally, and they had a delicious dish called Eggs in Purgatory, which was fantastic. Unfortunately, it seems they no longer offer it. I visited for dinner and ordered the chicken satay, but I found it to be quite bland and lacking in flavor. While the chicken was tender, it had no seasoning at all. The portion was small—just a tiny chicken breast accompanied by a small pile of arugula. That was it, and it cost $15, which left me feeling pretty disappointed. However, it remains a good spot for dessert or a refreshing drink!

The food and atmosphere were nice, but unfortunately, I had drinks spilled on me. The manager didn’t acknowledge the incident or offer any kind words about the meal; instead, she offered me a dessert as a gesture. I was surprised but not entirely shocked, considering the overall lack of attention to the situation. She only removed the spilled drinks from the bill and charged my party for everything else. However, Breanna was fantastic; she made sure we were well taken care of afterward, showing genuine sympathy and proving to be an excellent server overall.

We had to wait 45 minutes to be seated when we had had a reservation made two weeks ago. We had to ask our server for water, menus, and napkins/silverware after sitting at our table for 20 minutes without being seen which apparently irritated her (and they get an automatic 20% tip). In addition, there was a bug in one of our drinks and our server seemed annoyed that we asked for a new one. Overall the service was not great, especially when we had to wait almost an hour to be seated with a reservation and the restaurant was not that busy. I would not recommend this place for a group outing.

Bree was amazing! Drinks and food were great and super fun presentation. Atmosphere was cute, as always!
