Main Donut Shop - Royal Oak

I'm usually in the neighborhood of this donut shop once a week. A lady assisted me who I believe is the owner and, she was very friendly. I chose the twist and cinnamon roll. Both pastries were soft and fresh. Too bad I only purchased two. I will definitely return.

The donuts were fresh and the service was friendly and welcoming. The complimentary stickers for kids are a nice touch that is always appreciated. The store was clean and had a cozy atmosphere. I will definitely be returning!

Given all the changes downtown Royal Oak has experienced over the past ten years, it’s easy to overlook the charming little shops that have been staples of the community. If you enjoy fresh donuts served by a friendly lady in a classic donut shop, this is the spot for you. I was thrilled to discover paczki here after finding them sold out at other places, and I’m so glad I did—they are the best my wife and I have ever tasted! Just remember to bring cash.

As I expected, the selection of donuts was quite limited since they had sold out of many varieties by then. It's only after 9:40 AM, so a reminder to self: come earlier next time. I ended up getting three twists and three cinnamon rolls, each priced at $1.50. Plus, I grabbed a dozen donuts that were still available. I picked up four chocolate, four custard, two raspberry, one coconut, and one stick donut. The donuts smelled amazing, filling my car with their delicious fragrance. They should create a scent inspired by those baked goods—if they don’t already have one! My total came to about $18.99. I tried a small piece of each type of donut I bought, and both the custard and raspberry fillings were delightful. The cinnamon roll, chocolate, and raspberry donuts were all great as well. However, my absolute favorite was the stick donut; it had a wonderful sour cream glaze and a nice crunch when I bit into it. Overall, it was a satisfying experience!

Best service and donuts. Such a cozy atmosphere. Genuine owner and everyone is so kind will definitely be back
