Chinatown - Royal Oak

The food tasted fine, and the price was fairly reasonable, but it for sure gave me food poisoning that lasted a week. I thought the place looked sketchy (it didn’t look very clean and I could only order through a window outside) but I hoped for the best and unfortunately my instincts were correct.

Typical good Chinese. Not extraordinary, but it’s good Chinese. The general Taos tasted like freshly made chicken, and its sauce had a perfect amount of savory/sweet, it’s some of the best general Taos I’ve had. The fried rice is a little bland, which is kind of common but I’ve had better fried rice. Egg roll was pretty standard. All around good food

This food just wasn't edible. The white rice was the only thing I could actually eat. This place should be ashamed of the food it dishes out.

The food was good, but the service at the ordering window was a bit slow. However, the app for ordering was excellent. Please note that it’s takeout only.

Vegetarian options: I typically order the vegetable fried rice alongside the almond chicken. My only complaint is the extra charge, but aside from that, it's a great fried rice, and the vegetables are very fresh.
