Gard Public House - Royal City

The food was enjoyable, but the noise level was overwhelming. We found ourselves nearly shouting just to be heard by the waitress. When we requested coffee to accompany our dessert, she responded, "Um, I'll need to go get the coffee pot, and it will take too long. We only serve it during brunch." The menu lacked variety, featuring only a limited selection of dishes and just one dessert. Overall, what they offered likely won't entice us to return anytime soon.

Always great food and the service was quick tonight.

We had a fantastic server who really made the night fun! Dinner was delicious and we loved the private label wine! We can’t wait to go back!

This is such a wonderful establishment. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere could not have been better. The Gard Public House is literally an oasis in the desert and, hands down, the single best meal at a restaurant within 45 minutes of my vacation house…in last 18 years. We will be back. Oh, and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and truly share the vision of the establishment owner.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal and had been looking forward to this experience for quite some time, especially since I was visiting from Los Angeles. The pretzels, beet salad, pork chop, and fish and chips were all excellent. The service was friendly, attentive, and respectful of our space. The ambiance really came to life with the music playing. I can't wait to return!
