Deno's Kitchen And Spirits - Rowlett

Deno's was a fantastic restaurant, thanks to its enthusiastic and creative owner who welcomed everyone like family. The menu was thoughtfully crafted, and each dish was executed beautifully. However, when I tried to visit for dinner last week, I was disappointed to find a note on the door stating that the restaurant is closed indefinitely, as Deno has chosen to move on to other ventures.

Unfortunately, they have permanently closed! I arrived today only to find a sign on the door indicating that they are no longer in business.

I visited the restaurant on a Friday night, and after waiting for 10 minutes, a very young hostess came to greet us. She informed us that they were out of about 10 items, including pizza. We waited 20 minutes before we could place our appetizer order, and the main course didn’t arrive for another 30 minutes. The staff seemed inexperienced and unsure, and the service was nearly nonexistent. Overall, the food was good, but the owner really needs to work on organization, as the whole experience felt chaotic.

We have tried this place several times and every time it seems like a new reason to not come back. They are severely understaffed and the staff they do have can't handle the pressure. The last time we were there it was an almost 2.5 hour dinner because they forgot about our food after one of two appetizers got delivered. The food is actually rather phenomenal when they actually remember to put in your order but after how the owner talked to, or rather belittled, my dad I'll never come back.

We went to Deno's last night (Thursday) and it was closed. After the horrible service we experienced a few weeks ago, I'm not surprised.
